For this season, we at Surfers Beach Resort 2 invites everyone to take part in the fun and excitement at the 2011 Gold Coast Science Fair.
Now on its second year, the Gold Coast Science Fair will take place on 20-21 August 2011 at Bond University. The Science Fair incorporates useful, practical and fun way of learning and application of new scientific discoveries as well as innovative technology through interactive programs and events that include hands-on demonstrations, activities and competitions that focuses on teaching kids and adults.
Gold Coast Science Fair will feature several workshops that include photography and cookery. Participant from our Surfers Paradise holiday accommodation can learn the basics in digital photography as well as tips that can improve your photography skills. For kids who are interested in molecular gastronomy may acquire new culinary techniques in the cookery workshop. Aspiring junior masterchefs can also sign up for the Secondary Schools Culinary Challenge get a chance to take home the title of ‘Catering Student of the Year’. Parents can also join in all the fun as they team up with their kids at the Computer Build Off contest wherein they have to reconstruct a PC in the quickest way possible.
Aside from exciting competitions and workshops, this year’s Gold Coast Science Fair will also showcase demonstrations and clinics conducted by famous scientists and sports personalities such as Sports and Conditioning Coach from the Gold Coast Titans, Chris McLellan; boxer and kick-boxer, John Wayne Parr; and American robotics engineer Dr. David Hanson.
